4th Mass
Who: Kyouko & Teddie
What: Kyouko visits the Agency
Where: Teddie's room
When: Immediately following this post
Warnings: Possible cuteness and sadness ahead, proceed at your own risk.
Well, that went well.
Eventually Teddie had just gone quiet over the scrolls. Aware that she might be overreacting, Kyouko immediately flew over to the Agency to see if he was okay.
She hovered outside his window like a stalker and tapped on the glass. This was definitely how normal people visited their friends. Or significant others.

He was, in fact, under a bed, his backside sticking out and his legs laid flat. If he heard the tapping on the glass, he says nothing. Instead he only seems to...vibrate. Or jiggle. He's doing something distracting enough to keep him from responding.
no subject
Now that she looked around, she realized it didn't look like Teddie necessarily lived here at all. No visible jerky, for one.
He was definitely making noises, though, which she hadn't been able to hear from outside. It sounded like... was that sobbing?
no subject
"Gah-OW!!"
Even in his sadness, he's as elegant as always.
no subject
Kyouko crouches down, worrying over his head. "Y'okay?" Her brow wrinkles with concern.
no subject
"I'm okay! You could say I got a thick head."
Teddie even knocks on it a few times to prove his point, flinching a little when he realizes he's hitting a sore spot. Thick head indeed.
no subject
She looks directly in his eyes. "Talk ta me. I wanna help." The most inelegant way possible of saying "what's wrong", possibly, but still an effective one.
no subject
"I guess I never thought one day my friend might be the devil."
no subject
Kyouko hadn't known this. "She always seemed like a jerk ta me." She's a little uncomfortable talking about this if Teddie and Lucifer were friends before, but she's better off being honest, right? "... When I came back from the Pale Pony, she heard about Jappleack bein' taken, an'... she laughed. More or less. Said it was a good thing."
She glances out the window. Now that she and half the Agency have antagonized her, she's a little skittish. "... Yer sayin' ya were on good terms with her?"
no subject
"I thought we were."
An aching feeling sits in his gut, it never occurred to him that he should be careful about the friends he makes. Does this mean he needs to be wary of any other possible two-faced monsters whenever he meets someone? That doesn't seem like a fun way to live, Teddie's not sure he could handle it.
no subject
She does the only thing she can think to do, and carefully puts her forelegs and wings around him in a hug. "I'm sorry." Maybe there isn't an easy way to stop the pain from happening, but if Teddie surrounds himself with friends, maybe they (and Kyouko as well) can help blunt it.
no subject
"I'll be okay." Which was true, Teddie didn't feel nearly as bad as he did before after having a good cry about it. Talking to Kyouko and letting out his feelings certainly helped. Maybe this was also a part of maturity, bouncing back when things seem dark.
"It is...a little scary, though. I dunno how the heck she knew I was a Shadow without me saying anything! I didn't know people could figure that out on their own..."
And that was a public message, too... Who knows how many people know now. Teddie liked to keep check of who and who didn't know about his unsavory origins, it made it easier to make sure no one went around spreading it.
no subject
He seems to be recovering a little, at least, but since contact seems to help, she nuzzles him gently back. Despite her talk with Jappleack earlier, the point stands: she hates seeing him hurting.
no subject
He pauses as he thinks something over, unsure if it's something he should even talk about. It only takes a few seconds of mulling before he finally decides to go through with it. It's Kyouko, he can tell her anything.
"She did say something kinda weird, though. She said I was 'one of his'. I dunno who the heck 'he' is, Shadows come from humans... I wonder if she knows the human I came from."
no subject
"Teddie, if ya really wanna know, we can try ta find out. I could ask her, for one. An' I can be awfully persuasive. It jus'... might be a little harder, here.
"But even if ya never find out, it doesn' matter, ya know?" Hugging him tightly. "Yer still Teddie. Ya've got me an' the Agency an' all yer friends here. That jerk's just one pony. Yer so much better 'n' braver than her. She's not worth you."
no subject
"Kyo-chan..." his voice is soft for that small moment before he finds himself wiping his eyes again, nodding hard in agreement. "Right! You're right. A part of me still wants to find out, I thought I solved the mystery of Teddie a long time ago, but...I won't be sad if I don't get an answer. I'm... really happy with where I'm at."
no subject
Of course she's good to him. He's the best thing that's happened to her in a while. She pulls out some fudge she brought from Bon Bon's and hands it over. Fudge never hurts.
no subject
"I'm gonna get soooo fat at this rate."
People should bring him more snacks whenever he's sad, he can see a good deal rising from this. When his mouth is no longer filled with chocolaty deliciousness, he begins to lick his paws for any tasty residue.
"...Thanks, Kyo-chan. I really love you."

"You know what we should totally do?"
no subject
Something about the look in his eyes makes her grin. "What? C'mon, what?"

Then her brain catches up with what's happening and she wraps her forelegs around him to pull him closer. If they're gonna kiss, might as well kiss right.
no subject
To think this started as one of the worst days, only to become one of the best.
no subject
"Well, tha's all right," she mutters to him quietly. "Wanna try it again?"
no subject
All right?
Here Teddie thought he was the most suave and romantic bear in the history of bears, and all she can say was it was all right?! Teddie is stunned, his mouth open in a silent scream. Kyouko, you are so cruel sometimes.
no subject
It's a little weird not only kissing a bear but kissing him with a pony mouth, but they're somehow managing to make it work. The important point is that it's Teddie and she loves him. He's not at all a bad kisser (even if they're both a little inexperienced).
no subject
He'd answer back, but before he can he finds himself on the receiving end of a kiss this time around, perfectly happy with the situation. What's better than one smooch but two smooches, right? Oh, if only Yosuke were here... He'd rub this in his face forever...
Grabbing her once again, Teddie can't help but get a little experimental and switches back and forth from kissing to licking. He agrees, kissing a pony with a bear mouth is weird, which is why he waited so long in the first place. Animals back home lick all the time to show affection, if he could find a right combination of the two...
no subject
She goes to kiss him again, but also lets her tongue slip out of her mouth at the same time. She ends up meeting their tongues together, and then... er, pushes on his with hers a little bit?
Kissing is weird, what dono subject
"This would be a lot easier with human mouths..."
It's like they were made for it or something. Minato made it look so easy, when did interspecies relationships get so complicated? It didn't help that Teddie's teeth were sharp and made for tearing apart flesh. Maybe sticking something fleshy like a tongue in there isn't a good idea...
no subject
(Oh, right, probably when she stuck her tongue into the carnivore's mouth.)
"Damn, how come we gotta eat two dif'rnt kindsa food?" She dabs at her tongue to see if it'll stop bleeding.
no subject
"Did...did I hurt you?!"
He's absolutely horrified. The last thing he'd EVER want to do is hurt her. Especially when trying to show affection...
no subject
The blood's already slowing down. Kyouko heals quickly. But she's worried she already messed this up. "... Sorry."
no subject
"Whaaaat? You don't have to be sorry. We'll just...try better next time."
This will call for some research, he's sure of it. He'll do absolutely everything in his power to find a way to make this work.
no subject
She drapes a wing around him. "Thanks, Teds. I mean it. I love ya an' I don' want anythin' ta happen ta ya." She kisses the top of his head -- thankfully, without any blood.
"An' I'm gonna stick around here a little if yer okay with that. Partly ta make sure Lucifer doesn' show up. Partly cause I like hangin' out with ya."
no subject
"Woohoo~! Are you kidding?! Do you know how long I've been hopin' you'd say something like that?!"
Granted, during better circumstances, but there's no way he wouldn't be okay with this.
no subject
"Well, now I said it. An' I'll be outside mostly so I don' need a bed or anythin'. Wanna be ready if the jerk shows up."
no subject
"Well, if you ever need a bed, you're always welcome to Chateau Teddie~"
Which is, of course, one whole closest.
"Hey, could I ask you a huuuuuge favor?"
no subject
no subject
Teddie would be satisfied with just a name, something to go off of.
