Who: Yang and Yayoi

The train was on time, as with Yayoi. It wouldn't take long to arrive at Seaddle, and Yayoi had made certain she had everything. When the train pulled up, she was almost bouncing in her chair.

"Oh this is going to be fun! You'll love it here! The food, the smells, the ocean air...!"

Yang smiled brightly, re-adjusting the pack she'd brought with her as she stood up from her own seat, ready to disembark.

"Sounds a little like Vale back in my world."

Just...minus a monster population living outside it.

"So, where to first?"

"Well we're just in time for the open market," said Yayoi, checking her watch. "It opens at 10 every day and right now, it's clothing time."

"We can go there, and also take in a show and lunch too."

"Great! Good thing I brought some serious spending money."

Those extra shifts she picked up at the Night Market a while back were definitely going to pay off now.

Following the line of ponies off the train, she hopped down onto the station platform. Taking a moment to toss her bangs back, she glanced up, already admiring the city skyline above.

"Wow..."

"Awesome, isn't it?" The skyline was definitely a sight to see. It was so different from the sparkling towers of Canterlot, and much more sprawled out.

"Along with Vanhoover, Seaddle is the largest importer and the trendiest place on the Western Seaboard," explained Yayoi, proud she knew of the fact.

"The market's this way, c'mon!"

Yang trotted cheerily after Yayoi, content to let the other mare lead the way while she took in the sights.

"So who do they import stuff from? The griffins?"

She actually hadn't seen too much of the culture outside Ponyville and Canterlot, and that included the griffins.

"The griffons, diamond dog supplies and jewelry, the minotaurs, dragons... this is a cultural hub and it also comes from various countries as far as I can tell, along with major trade routes."

Yayoi pointed at the market which was set up a couple of blocks from the train station. "The market collects a while lot of things actually. There's so much to see, and international styles too."

"Ooo, can't wait!"

With that many cultures coming together it was almost like being back at the Vytal Festival back home. Maybe Seaddle was more like how she assumed Mistral was with its extensive trading routes.

Either way, she was definitely looking forward to seeing all these different cultures and styles coming together and it showed in her eager steps as they neared the market.

The markets was a hodge-podge of culture. There were so many stalls, so many people of all kinds, from dragons peddling their wares to the ponies locally. There's various styles on display, ranging from kimono to dresses and other athletic ware. A blacksmith worked on horseshoes and commissions, and there were people shouting their goods.

"It looks the same when I left last time!" Exclaimed Yayoi, glad it hadn't changed too much. "There should be a awesome Japanese-styled store next to a Africa-styled store close to here."

Yang was taking it all in, her ears rotating to and fro at each different call and advertisement, glancing from stall to stall. She paused a moment to watch the blacksmith work a moment before quick-stepping to catch back up to Yayoi.

"Oh yeah? That sounds cool."

The words "Africa" and "Japanese" didn't have much meaning to Yang but she was sure she'd see what Yayoi meant when they arrived at the stores in question.

The styles in the nearby places were very unique, pony versions of outfits from the Zebra lands and the styles from trendy Neighpon.

"Ooooh they resupplied! I was looking for another orange jumper!"

She followed after her, glancing from one rack of clothing to the next as she did. She paused at a line of pony-fit skirts and dresses, eyeing a diagonally cut black one thoughtfully for a moment before continuing on, looking around once more.

"I like the styles they've got going here. They're cute!"

"Yeah, they've got so much style here. Oh this is cute!" She ran a hoof down a dress cut in the Zebracia style. "It's stylish, I love it!"
