What: Run-down of what Pollo knows about Calice and related matters! He's been keeping notes for years!

For a while now, Pollo's been trying to keep track of all information discovered about Equestria that might be related to the plight of the newponies. It had been Twilight's job, really. She was back now, but even so, she'd missed out on quite a bit. Lots of people had - which is why he called this session in the first place.

It's best to catch everyone up. Any of them could disappear at any time, even the ones who have been here longest.

"Alright," he says to whoever's gathered. "Well, I'm not sure when all of you left, so most recently: we met the Pale Pony. Not Calice, the Equestrian deity of death. It wasn't actually her, merely a representation of her in a magic scroll, but she confirmed much of what we found in Stalliongrad. She and her...siblings, I suppose, were the original bearers of the Elements of Harmony."

"She's the only one of them remaining - the others took mortal form a long time ago, and were corrupted. Or perhaps the other way around. The Corruption is something that has existed for a while, but she believes that through Calice, it's gained a certain degree of sapience it didn't possess before."

What else, what else? Let him flip through his notes. He isn't used to addressing crowds like this! "Oh, also the Tree of Harmony exists in a state of quantum flux, but apparently we'll be able to find it when we need to. Any questions so far?"

Doctor flips through his own notes to check for correlations and copy down what Pollo said. He waves a hoof in the air while looking between Pollo and his notes.

"Yes! Good to hear the Tree of Harmony has been found. I can add to that thought- Calice has been watching the Everfree very closely as of late. I'm guessing that was the purpose. Unless the tree wasn't in the forest for some reason. Was it there?" Details, details.

He clears his throat and adds his own announcement, "I happened upon a great deal of information during my time imprisoned in Calice- which I can actually remember since I escaped before she could wipe my mind. In case anypony here wonders why I know what I know."

"Well, we don't technically know where it IS yet. Unless she meant that it's in some kind of pocket dimension, but that's not...terribly helpful for us at present." The Everfree does seem a logical place for it to turn up whenever it cares to, at least. "We know the Pale Pony spent at least some time in the area of the forest in the past, though. It was considered a holy place. So we should probably keep an eye out for it around there."

This is a different Doctor than the one Pollo knew, and he let go of those expectations a long time ago. Still, it's surprisingly comforting to hear that he's got something. "What other information did you find?"

"Calice might want the Tree of Harmony for herself. It would be an easy way to control the elements and keep us from gaining its power." It sure seems fundamental.

"I have a list of names." He offers Pollo the list to share with everyone there.

SCORPAN, IRONCLAW, HONEYCOMB, SPIKE

"These individuals are being kept in high security alongside the Element Bearers. As you might imagine, this must mean that Calice finds them just as threatening. You just mentioned something about the Pale Pony having siblings connected to the Elements. Could these be their identities?"

"I...suppose so," Pollo muses, in the tone of one still thinking things over. "She said they took mortal forms a long time ago, so I'd assumed they were dead. But perhaps they've been reincarnating themselves? Or - Scorpan is fairly old, isn't he? He's Tirek's brother."

"You can still be very old and very much mortal," Doctor says, amused for the obvious reason Pollo would know. "As I escaped Calice I had a glimpse of the place where the individuals on that list were kept. All those named were there, but there were also large sections of empty cells set aside. Between the Pale Pony and these possible sibling candidates, not all of the Elements are covered, right? She might not have found all the reincarnated Elements."

"Well, yes. Most of those people aren't, though - their species don't even live that long." Spike, perhaps, but everyone knows he's just a baby dragon. Except for Scorpan, none of them are very old at all.

And then, of course, there's the question of the empty cells. The Pale Pony plus the Doctor's names still only makes five. It sounds like there was much more space than needed for six though. "Maybe she doesn't even know who the Elements are?" Pollo suggests. "If she did, she'd only need six cells, not that many empty ones. Maybe she's just keeping all potential candidates for...well, for further study."

"She might want more than one version of the same individuals. She has an entire collection of Spikes. It wouldn't surprise me if she has more copies of him locked in cells than anypony else in existence. I'm not sure if it's because she thought he was a candidate, because of Twilight, or because of a different reason all together. She would find Spike more difficult for Twilight to refuse wouldn't she?"

"I want to know what she would do with the Pale Pony's siblings if she had them all. What kind of experiment does she have waiting for them? Some sort of... friendship topic?"

"She already controls her version of the Elements, and our own versions are useless," Pollo muses. "It really depends on the nature of the Pale Pony and her relations, I suppose. Assuming she knows more than we do about them, which seems likely." After all, she'd known to start gathering potential candidates at all.

"They must be fascinating to talk to. Maybe she doesn't even have anything specific in mind." That doesn't seem entirely likely, he'll grant, but she's been planning to absorb everything anyway. The six would've come to her sooner or later.

"In theory... If Calice managed to absorb everything what then? Would she consider herself all knowing and be done with her mission? What then? Vacation time sitting around the void she created? I wonder if she's thought that far ahead."

"I think it must have occurred to her." How long has she been doing this, after all?

"It's a shot in the dark but why not guess? What do you think Calice is trying to prove with her experiments?" The question of the year- or nearly three really.
