Who: Overlord Zetta
What: After the End
Where: His castle and Ponyville
When: Various
Warnings: None
Prose or Commentspam: I'll match.
Ponies had gone, and some had come, drifting in and out of Equestria with the help of the primal powers the ponies had unleashed and befriended. The Overlord was not among their number.
A year ago this would have been impossible if not inconceivable. This planet was one tiny backwater in a massive cosmos, not worth his time or attention! He had a Netherworld to reclaim and a host of potential challengers to his title of Most Badass Freakin' Overlord to break!
But somehow, he'd never gotten around to going back. There were reasons, of course, and some of them he had no problem explaining -- for one, he had no damn intention of leaving until he could be sure Dame Rarity could both come with him and at least occasionally be physically compatible with him out in the vast universe beyond. For another, they had a wedding to plan! But what he never really admitted, not even to himself, was how comfortable Equestria felt, and how -- well, the only word that fit was happy -- he was here. Ponies and their friendships...
So the Overlord remained, and on any given day he could be found strolling through Ponyville and gloating over deeds of evil and malice he seemed content to only claim he might to someday, or holding a very informal court in his castle.
And for the keen-eared, they might hear a terrible wail coming from the ancient Everfree castle deep one night, as the Overlord opened a cupboard and a stuffed animal promptly fell on his head.
Some things never changed.

Though, he was hardly her type. He was egotistical, a self proclaimed villain... and yet he had a charm that slowly won her over and even though she did miss her Equestria, she wasn't about to go back without him with her nor was she capable of going to his world just yet.
Which left them with a life here and Rarity was perfectly fine with that. Besides, they had a wedding to plan and she wasn't about to let him get out of it.
Rarity was currently surveying one of the ballrooms to see if it would be suitable for the reception after having double checking the throne room when she heard a loud wail from a certain stallion which prompted her to go investigate.
"...Darling, usually it's the mare with the high pitched wail when they're scared, not the stallion." Can he hear her amusement~?

Of course, its weight was nowhere near enough to splat the Overlord, or even knock him down. Attribute that half to surprise and half to despair.
"How come you never find any of these?" he said weakly from beneath it.

"After that, I've been cautious about opening closets and other hiding places. My gems are rather handy in that matter." Ad she might be a little smug about it.

"Thank you Darling and you have to admit, Pinkie Pie does have good taste in stuffed animals." She glanced back at Zetta. "So what were you looking for anyway?"

If he can't save his dignity, he'll distract her with charm. Besides, the answer was entirely true.

Rarity pouts a bit before smiling and leaning in to kiss his cheek. "Of course, being jealous of myself is hardly becoming of a Knight Commander.. and a bride to be."

"Hm.. For wedding guests, nothing short of all of Ponyville of course. Plus the princesses."

At that Rarity leaned in for another kiss. "I have a few things in mind, though you may have to come in for a private fitting~." One that may.. or may not involve a locked door and a 'do not disturb' sign.

Zetta has no idea what he's gotten himself into.

"You are so worth all the effort I put into winning you over," he said huskily.

"Good because you are much more than I expected and I definitely like that."

"The list I was talking about earlier was your freebie list," he said with a grin.

Of course she knew what he meant.
